Join Green Steps on Sunday 06/12/2020 to discover a piece of heaven fallen on the ground, Aana village, located in West Bekaa. We will hike in its fertile colorful plain, where autumn is blazing with iridescent reflexions, leaving its colorful leaves spreading all over the natural carpet. However, this hiking won’t be complete without planting pine trees with our green hands, leaving our green fingerprints behind us, and to be perfect, our adventure will culminate with a visit to a local winery and tasting its fresh wine.

 Our day will start with a breakfast stop on our way to Aana village.
 Our hiking trail will be an agricultural one, between the colorful vineyard, the yellow reddish fruity trees, passing by the pine and cedar forest, crossing cereals lands and diverse agricultural fields till we reach a lake where we will have our lunch break there.
 During our hike, you’ll not get tired of witnessing and admiring lovely colorful sceneries and landscapes.
The trail is of level 4, easy for families and children
Total Circuit length: 10 Kms
Altitude: 950 m
Variation : 30 m
Effective hiking time: 3 hrs
The hike will be guided by an ecotourism specialist at a moderate rate.
 Faithful to our motto, we are going to plant pine trees in the forest. These pine trees have been grown and maintained in our nursery and ready to be planted in the forests.
 Please bring with you some snacks, fruits or vegetables. We are going to have our lunch in nature.

 We’ll end our trip to the West Bekaa, with a visit to a local winery “Chateau St. Thomas”.

 Please book your places as soon as possible. The event is very interesting and the place is unique and private.

Aana is a village in the Western Bekaa District of Lebanon, about 57 km from Beirut at an altitude of 970 meters. Some cereals are grown but vines and fruit trees predominate. The wines of Chateau Musar grow in this land that is the home of Lebanese-Brazilian Carlos Eddé.
Aana has a rich biodiversity of fauna and flora, and it lies in the valley of the bekaa between two mountain chains, where your eyes can admire the colorful agricultural lands creating a splendid carpet. Here there are no historic remains but nevertheless Aana is part of the historical heritage of Lebanon and of mankind.

Event of Green Steps by the NGO “Oaks & Cedars”. The contributions of this event will go to the reforestation of Lebanon.
