OVERVIEW
Join Green Steps on Sunday 15/04/2018 to spend a lovely day at Ain Kfarzabad, located in the Beqaa Valley, east of Zahleh. We will discover the green and cultural and facets of Ain Kfarzabad, starting our day with a plantation activity and hiking on its top mountains overlooking the fertile colorful plain of the valley, ending our day with a visit to its museum with back to roots utensils and tools used hundreds of years ago in this fertile land.

WHAT TO EXPECT
We’ll have a breakfast stop on our way to Ain Kfarzabad.
Our day will start in Ain Kfarzabad with the plantation activity with our green hands, leaving our green fingerprints behind us.
Then we’ll proceed with the hiking trail start from Ain Kfarzabad passing through Oussaya and Terboul villages, crossing on our way peaks of mountains and going down into agricultural trails.
At the end of our day, we’ll be back to our roots by visiting the village museum in Ain Kfarzabad exposing old utensils and tools used hundreds of years ago in agricultural activities and daily living in villages.

We’ll have our lunch break in nature, so please bring some snacks with you.

The trail is of level 4, easy for families and children
Total Circuit length: 8 Kms
Altitude: 1250 m – 900 m
Variation : 250 m
Effective hiking time: 3 hrs
The hike will be guided by an ecotourism specialist at a moderate rate.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• General knowledge contest and quiz with a valuable prize for the participants
• Needs for the hike: hiking or walking shoes, windbreaker, hat, backpack, water bottle of 1 liter min, sunglasses, sunscreen, camera, meal (dry fruits, energy bars, sandwich), ID card, insurance card, smiley face and full energy.
• The tour will be provided by a comfortable air-conditioned bus, reservation required.
• Contribution : 45’000 LBP/adult, 35'000 LBP/ student between 13-17 y.old & 30’000 LBP/child 12 y. and below, covering guides, plantation, entrances and transportation.
• Reservation : Friday is the last day for Reservation
• Additional 10'000 LBP/p. for late booking on Saturday.

• Meeting time and place : at 8h00 am from Zalka near “l’abeilled’or” – PLEASE BE ON TIME
• Return time : around 06h00 pm

N.B.:
- Cancellations without prior notice of 24 hours require a payment of 50% of the full contribution
- You are requested to book latest on Friday
- A minimum of 15 persons is required for the trip to be feasible.
- Hikers are advised to participate in the hike to their own responsibility
- Hikers are asked to follow hiking ethics provided by Green Steps
- Smoking is not allowed during the hike
- In case of force majeure, some modifications may occur to the program
