Ammiq Reserve with Wild Adventures

Dear Friends,
Join us this Sunday May 1, for a new trail, new destination to Ammiq Reserve. The Aammiq Wetland is the largest remaining freshwater wetland in Lebanon, a remnant of much more extensive marshes and lakes that once existed in the Bekaa Valley, 55 km away from Beirut (Altitude 1040 m above sea level). It is also home to the country's largest swamp. This natural spot remains an important staging and wintering area for migratory water birds en route between Europe and Africa.
Our hike will starts from Tawlet Ammiq ,passing to the edge of the mountains where many trees provide shade and shelter. It is one of the rare places in the Bekaa Valley rich in a diversity of tree species.

During our hike we will pass near the swamps, plantings, beautiful landscapes of Bekaa valley .
• Level of the trail is 5/10
• Distance of 11 KM, (Moving Time: 4 hours ).

Meeting point in Gallery Semaan area - Camille Chamoun Blvd, near Gharious Center.
Parking is available.
We can pick up the hikers who live on our way.

• Departure time at 7:30 am- Return time will be at 5:00pm.
• We will have breakfast stop in Chtoura.
Please ensure to have in your backpack at least: 2 liters of Water, Nutrition food, Hat, Sunglasses, Sunscreen,Jacket…

• Contribution : 30,000 LBP + 5000 LBP (which includes guide, entrance to reservation, transportation, but does not include insurance)
(Group of 5 will benefit from 1 free hiking invitation).
