The Beirut Photo Fair is pleased to announce the launching of its first Edition taking place at Artheum venue for the arts and culture on September 14th 2012 from 4 to 9p.m.

Photography, one of the most important visual media, has been surprisingly uncelebrated, particularly in the Middle East. Beirut, with its vibrant and fast moving contemporary history is home to the most active commercial and fine art photography community; It has lacked, until now, a large-scale event dedicated to photography.

The Beirut Photo Fair is dedicated to the mission of pushing the boundaries of photographic practices by showcasing the best in contemporary photographic works. This event aims to celebrate both contemporary photography and the creative, inspirational talents of the people who produce the work.

The goal of the Beirut Photo Fair is to identify and serve as a platform for the current and future talents of photography in all its forms. To present the newest and most important trends in contemporary photography, promising to draw the attention of the entire photographic community.

More than 60 photographers from Lebanon, France, Belgium, Iran, Morocco, Syria, Thailand & Japan will be showcasing their works in a variety of themes & concepts.
The inaugural Beirut Photo Fair promises to be a dynamic, high-quality event in what is arguably the photographic capital of the region.
Beirut Photo Fair will take place at the Artheum, venue in Karantina, with more than 1,500 sq. meters of exhibition space, Artheum offers many facilities including a discussion and a projection area in addition to a lounge space and a bookstore dedicated to art books and magazines.

Beirut Photo Fair Opening days:
from September 14th till Sept.30th, Tuesday to Sunday from 4p.m. till 9p.m.
