Communication and Negotiation Skills workshop
at Skillz - Gemmayze

People negotiate all the time and for the better part of every day we communicate to and with others.
Through this workshop participants will understand the different methods of communication. These strategies will provide a great benefit for the organization and its employees. In addition, through this workshop the participants will develop an understanding of their opponent and have the confidence to negotiate for a fair deal and not settle for less.

Participants will learn that an atmosphere of respect is essential during any negotiation, as uneven negations could lead to problems in the future.

Workshop Objectives:
• Understand the basic types of negotiations, the phases of negotiations, and the skills needed for successful negotiating
• Lay the groundwork for negotiation
• Identify what information to share and what to keep to yourself
• Understand basic bargaining techniques
• Understand how to reach consensus and set the terms of agreement
• Deal with personal attacks and other difficult issues
• Use the negotiating process to solve everyday problems
• Understand what communication is
• Identify barriers to communication and how to overcome them
• Develop their non-verbal and paraverbal communication skills
• Use the STAR method to speak on the spot
