Friday's Alternative Walking Tour

We are happy to announce the launch of the Friday afternoon Alternative Walking Tour in Beirut.

Join us for this 4-hour walking tour - a fascinating journey from East to West Beirut, unlayering 4 different neighborhoods (all outside of Down Town). It recounts stories of various themes from the civil war, reconstruction, July 2006 war, gentrification, political-socio-economic developments, graffiti, among others. In doing so, the tour explores the depth of both Beirut’s past and present. The tour stops at various alternative and authentic spots for refreshments and snacks.

We meet every Friday at 1:00 pm at the top of the St. Nicolas Staircase (NOT the St. Nicolas Church) in Gemmayze. The tour ends near Bab Idriss.
