Hiking at JABAL MOUSSA with DALE CORAZON - LEBANON EXPLORERS!!!

OUR FEES : 40,000 LL per person including transport, professional guides, insurance, 5 minutes warming up, stretching and pictures. Special price 35,000 LL for young under 18 years old or group of 5 persons.
There is 8.000LL Extra Entrance fees to Jabal Moussa Reserve.
WHAT TO TAKE : Take some light snacks that will boost up your energy such as dried fruits. Pack your backpacks with lunch, water, cap, sunglasses and sunscreen. Don't forget to get a jacket. DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:
A walk through the Mountain!!!
This hike will be in Jabal Moussa in Ftouh Keserwan, you will have many reasons to keep your cameras handy. From the moment you start hiking until the moment you stop, there will be scenes you'll want to cherish forever.
Jabal Moussa became a natural reserve, it covers an area of 6500 hectares at an altitude ranging between 350 meters and 1750 meters. The main villages are Qehmez, Nahr el Dahab, Yahchouch, Ghbale, El IiBre and Chouwan.
The Jabal Moussa biosphere reserve presents a rich diversity of flora and fauna. At least 350 flora species are found in the reserve, and it’s a Global Important Bird Area (IBA) as per BirdLife International criteria. It presents a variety of migratory and soaring birds which appear depending on the seasons.
Jabal Moussa is renowned for the unspoiled historic Adonis Valley with its ancient agricultural terraces and trails that date back to Roman times. The valley features rivers and streams, mixed forests with oak, pine and olive groves and many important plant species.

HIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy, 4 to 6 for intermediate, 7 to 9 for strenuous
LEVEL 4 (7 Km approxi) will start from the village of Qehmez, it’s an easy and beautiful walk. From Baydar El-Shawk you will continue along a trail leading to old well, then to the Cross site. You will also be able to see rare views particular to this altitude terrain, it’s impressive. Then we will meet with level 6 to continue together downhill to Mar Elias Church.
LEVEL 6 (10 Km approxi) will start from the village of Mchati, the hike on Roman stairs will be uphill at first and needs some physical competences. The track will take you to Baydar El-Shawk than to the Cross site to meet the other group and continue together downhill crossing by old houses and Hadrian’s inscription to Mar Elias Church.
On our way back we may stop by historical Roman ruins. The impressive remains of a Roman temple and old village built on ancient foundations still dominate the scene, giving a view over Keserwan.
