Les Musicales de Baabdath 'Strings of Hope - Virtual Concert

On January 10, live on Les Musicales de Baabdath Facebook page, from the R1 Reactor Hall of the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, the award winning Stenhammar Quartet πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ͺ will perform in support of the Lebanese National Conservatory of Music.

The concert will be broadcast in high definition and will be preceded by a welcome word delivered by H.E. Ambassador of Sweden to Lebanon, Mrs. Ann Dismorr.

This live chamber music performance is part of Les Musicales de Baabdath 'Strings of Hope 2020/21' program and is open to all. It is also the last of a concert series dedicated to support music education in Lebanon. In a tribute to Lebanon's contemporary musical culture, Per Oman (Violin), Mats Olofsson (Cello), Tony Bauer (Viola) and Peter Olofsson (Violin) will perform the String Quartet No.3, a world premiere by Houtaf Khoury

Proceeds of donations will be allocated by Les Musicales de Baabdath to offer musical instruments, sound equipment, string sets and accessories to the chamber music departments, student ensembles and orchestras of the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory of Music.

We dedicate this concert to the memory of late Bassam Saba, President and Director of the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory of Music, whom Lebanon and the world lost to Covid-19 on December 4, 2020.
