This two days workshop will be inviting you to revive an object of your choice. An object that sits inanimate in your house and whose use has been slowly coming to an end.

A heater, a jar of pickles, a vase, your grandmother’s garden pots, anything that might inspire you to turn into a lighting sculpture.

You will be guided by Ghassan to understand the approach of design and the techniques of creating a unique light source.

Ghassan Salameh is a young emerging product designer from Beirut, well known for his atypical light fixtures that are drawn from his daily inspirations of the city. He first ventured off as a Graphic Designer and then pursed his Masters degree in European Design Labs in Madrid.
His first light fixture, Fireworks and Explosion, inspired by the cliché about the Lebanese nationality, received the jury’s acclaim for its aesthetic and functionality and was featured in galleries in Venice and in Beirut.
Ghassan works from his studio on new and upcoming designs with raw metal objects inspired by insect joints and prototypes of closets and cupboards.
