Morning Yoga Classes with Sarah Warde

Practicing yoga first thing in the morning can be great for your mental and physical health. Stretches and backbends will help wake up your body and your metabolism for the day, and simply energise you. Twists will also help stimulate your digestive system. As you breathe through your practice, you’ll be providing your brain with loads of fresh oxygen, which will help increase your mental clarity for the day ahead. It’s essential to take a few minutes for yourself in the morning to breathe, connect with your body, and set your intentions for the day.

Sarah first began practicing yoga in 2002, with Nabil Najjar and Jouhaina Dib in Beirut. In 2007, she moved to London where she studied the Iyengar Yoga principles with Jacqui Brookes and Angelika Grohmann. In 2010, she moved to Paris where she enrolled in a four-year Hatha Yoga teacher training at the Ecole Française de Yoga, with instructors such as Patrick Tomatis, Andrée Maman, Boris Tatzky, Gianna Dupont and Philippe de Fallois. During her training, she also practiced Mysore-style Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga with Kia Naddermier, and went on silent meditation retreats in the Vipassana tradition, and in the Zen tradition with Jacques Castermane. At the end of her training, she met internationally acclaimed author and movement therapist Donna Farhi, and has been studying with her on a yearly basis ever since.

After her teacher training, Sarah gave regular classes and workshops in various Parisian yoga studios, for adults, kids, pregnant women and people with injuries. In late 2014, she returned to Lebanon where she founded Hamsa Yoga Space. Sarah has also adapted her practice after several injuries, and during pregnancy.
