The Faculty of Engineering at Université Antonine has started in 2013 a series of Forums on Emerging Technologies aiming at bridging the gap between academic research and professional practice. The Open Day for Big Data (ODBD) organized in 2014 as part of this series of events, has successfully spawned interesting discussions of cutting-edge topics in Big Data. It highlighted the importance of data, information and knowledge in nowadays business and pinpointed as well some challenging problems; pillars for future innovations.

In keeping with business needs and requirements in this field, but leveraging a broader perspective on data knowledge, this year, for its third event in the series of open days, the Faculty of Engineering, in collaboration with TICKET Research Laboratory, sheds the light on innovations in Data Science. The significance of this topic resides in the growing need for expertise to study the data and unlock its value.
At the Open Day for Data Science 2016 (ODDS’16), participants will have the opportunity to take part in breakout sessions being led by Keynote Speakers sharing their experiences and practical case studies in Data Science. Several tutorial sessions and an exhibition will accompany the oral presentations throughout the day.
We expect more than 200 participants at the event, including academics, professional experts and students, and more than 10-15 exhibitors from our local community.
