We are pleased to host the photo exhibition "Samsara" by Samar Hawa. The photos portray monks in their daily environment whom Samar captured in Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos over several years of traveling around Asia.

The sanskrit word "Samsara" means the repeating cycle of birth, life and death within Buddhism and Hinduism.

Samar's passion for photography stems from her inherent curiosity and sense of adventure and the desire to understand diverse cultures around the world. Whether in the center of a busy street in Europe or a temple in Southeast Asia or in the vast savannahs of Africa, she attempts to tell a story in her photos.

Samar has attended several photography workshops with local and international photographers including the Foundry Photojournalism Workshop in Sarajevo in July 2013, street photography workshops with David Gibson of In-Public in 2011 and with Eric Kim and Thomas Leuthard in 2010. Her photos have been exhibited in collective exhibitions including the University of Edinburg in 2014, ICN Gallery in London in April 2013 under the International Street Photography Awards as her photo won the public vote for Lebanon, the Beirut Photo Fair - Artheum in September 2013 and September 2012.

The opening of the exhibition will be held on June 19, 2014 from 5 to 9pm. The artist will be present on June 19, 20 and 21, 2014. The exhibition will run until July 5, 2014.
The gallery opening hours: Monday to Saturday, 10am to 7pm.

Wine will be sponsored by Ixsir and finger food will be sponsored by Bergerac.
