Portraits of Resilience

As we enter the 8th year of the conflict in Syria, the Danish Refugee Council in Lebanon is hosting a photo exhibition that aims at focusing on the resilience of both refugee and vulnerable host communities. The event is supported by the European Commission for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection (ECHO) and the EU Regional Trust Fund in Response to the Syrian Crisis, the ‘Madad Fund’.

Photojournalist Sam Tarling, in coordination with DRC in Lebanon, visited informal tented settlements and areas where DRC was implementing livelihoods and protection projects. He got the chance to meet Lebanese and Syrian children, women and men whose accounts of resilience will be shown through an amazing collection of 25 photographs.
