As we promessed you of special events in this year, we are glad to invite you to join our first event this winter. As you know we like to learn from the local knowledge and accumulated experience transferred through generations and document and share with large public and this event of snowshoeing will be full of new stories and knowledge as usual. The snowshoeing will take place at the high altitudes of Jbeil in Amez where we will be viewing aples orchards and villages while walking with the sun rays and "Abou el Hen" birds on the tracks used by our ancestors to stock ice for the summer season.
Have you ever thought how people had access to refrigeration and ice during summer before the electricity era? Soft hike and Hosting table team is preparing wonderful stories not to be missed!

As usual we will meet at The Domaine du Karst - Achkout @ 10:00am where we distribute equipments and the Bus will take us to the starting point in 30 minutes trip at the start point we will make sure that everyone is well equiped and a short demonstration on how to use the snowshoes and take of the way full of snow and sun We will pass by beautiful views and places for photo shooting all over the trail so be prepared.
By ending the snowshoeing of almost 2 hours we will take back the bus for another 30 minutes back to Domaine Du Karst, where we will have the usual special lunch with new special items for winter season. Sitting around the stove or outside enjoying the sunny day. The menu is as usual composed from grilled meat and chicken and vegetables with special salad, homos, dairy products and other specialties. Soft and alcoholic drinks are offered with lunch.
The cost for this event including lunch, drinks, guide, equipment and transportation is 50,000LL per person.
Domaine du Karst guesthouse can host some guests to stay over Saturday where we can have a nice evening arround the stove and very affordable price. For additional info on the event or guesthouse call Georges on: 03/765108.
