Information about the region
Hasroun, “the rose of the mountain”, called by Lamartine a “bouquet of roses”, is a northern village, 107 km away from Beirut. It is a beautiful historical village spectacularly perched on a cliff soaring over the Holy Valley, Wadi Annoubine,

Simply known as "The Cedars", this resort settlement in Lebanon's highest range is one of the most dramatically beautiful spots in the country.
Its centerpiece is an ancient grove of cedars, a tree synonymous for millennia with Lebanon itself. The Cedars is related to Bsharre village, the birthplace of Gibran Khalil Gibran.
