More about Karam

Karam is associate professor in the Latin American and Latino Studies Program at De Paul University in Chicago. He studies Arab ethnic and diaspora formations in the 20th and 21st centuries. Karam's first book was "Another Arabesque: Syrian-Lebanese Ethnicity in Neoliberal Brazil." He is now working on his second book, "Redrawing the Americas: The Arab Diaspora at the Tri-Border and the Rise of Brazil."
